Write for us.

We publish a small number of guest posts each month from people who actually work events: planners, venues, caterers, photographers, DJs. If you have run the room, we want the piece only you can write.

What we are looking for

Something you know because you were there.

Our readers are couples and hosts planning a seated event, and the professionals they hire. The posts that land here are practical and specific: a real problem, how you handled it, what you would do differently.

A general overview of wedding planning is not that. Neither is a piece that could have been written by somebody who has never set a room. Topics that work:

  • Seating etiquette: divorced parents, plus-ones, guests who know nobody
  • Running a reception entry that does not queue
  • Floor plans and table maths for real venues
  • Guest list logistics: RSVPs, dietary flags, last-minute changes
  • What you learned running an event that went sideways
  • Accessibility and comfort in how a room is seated

We publish

  • Working wedding and event professionals: planners, venues, caterers, photographers, florists, DJs, coordinators
  • First-hand operational experience, with specifics from events you actually ran
  • Original writing, not published anywhere else, human-written
  • 800 to 1,500 words, edited before you send it

We do not

  • Anything outside weddings and events. No general SEO, crypto, casino, insurance, essay or health content
  • Posts written by an agency on behalf of a client whose link is the point
  • Paid placements. We do not pay for posts and we do not accept payment for one, in either direction
  • Link insertions into posts we have already published
  • AI-generated drafts, and articles that read as an advert for your service

How to pitch

Email the idea, not the finished article.

Send a topic first so we can tell you whether it fits before you spend a day on it. In one short email, include:

  • Your proposed headline and two or three lines on the angle
  • Who you are and what you do at events
  • A link to your business site, and one thing you have written before if you have it

We reply to pitches that fit, usually within a week. We read everything, but we cannot answer every email. Accepted posts are edited before publishing and run under your name.
